Have you ever sat and twiddled your thumbs forever, trying to decide if you should do something or not? If you answered 'no' - I don't believe you! Or maybe you're just super decisive. Okayyy if so, what was the outcome? Were you glad you just went for something? Or were you glad you played it safe?
I tend to lean towards the type of person who is SUPER glad that they went for something. After I do something that I initially thought was going to be terrifying, I am so so so glad that I went through with it. I'd say a lot of my coolest life experiences are like this. Most recently...parasailing!
Takeoff from the beach at Manuel Antonio! (Later I will blog all about my fave CR places!)
I had seen people parasail many times before but I always talked myself out of it...too expensive, too scary, too unsafe...blah blah blah. But when I was in Costa Rica, I decided to go for it! And as my adrenaline was pumping and my smile was ear-to-ear, I was not only happy to see an incredible view of the beaches at Manuel Antonio...but I got to see 4 whales cruising along at the surface of the water! What I had not realized, is that this area is a well-known whale migration path and we just happened to fly over 4 of them. To top it off, they gave us a nice little show...enjoy :)
THE migrating whales!
Lesson learned (the one I learn over and over): GO FOR IT. Of course be safe. But have fun, experience life. Be courageous. Because these are the times when you really, really feel alive.
